CHAIR-BOARD OF TRUSTEES

These are times of exciting momentum at Jackson Theological Seminary. Christian theological
education programs at JTS are being strengthened and expanded to prepare students to be transformative
and transcend the challenges of our broken world and more polarized communities. JTS programs are
designed with an understanding of the evolving landscape of ministry today and to prepare students to
become engaged with the issues and needs of congregations and communities. JTS academic programs
are theologically profound, professionally sound, and personally transformative.

We are part of Jackson Theological Seminary's history, which was given to us by prior generations of the
African Methodist Episcopal Church. The Board of Trustees, the Seminary Administration, and the
faculty work tirelessly, with dedication and heart, to steward this institutional legacy bolstered by a
vibrant student community and actively engaged alums. Jackson Theological Seminary stands
committed not only to rigorous academic institutional standards but foremost to the ever-transforming
work of the Holy Spirit.

We are grateful to the African Methodist Episcopal Church for its confidence, partnership, and support
in this historic and sacred institutional calling. As a fully accredited institution, we are excited and
hopeful about Jackson Theological Seminary's future.
